One of the perks of being a PTPA Blogaholic and Mommy tester is I get to try out some great new products. When I got the opportunity to test the new H20 X5 5-in-1 steam cleaner, I wasn't the only one excited.
It's no secret that in our household, my hubby is the clean one. He does all the vacuuming and mopping, and while I do help out with the dusting and general household chores, I'm more of the mess-maker.
So, I thought, who better to test out a cleaning product than me?!
I've done my research in the past when it comes to steam cleaners. Especially with kids and pets around, steam cleaners do a good job of getting the dirt and bacteria out without using harmful chemicals. The H20 X5 has great reviews of its own as it's touted as being a 5-in-1 cleaner.
In addition to the floor steamer, the H20 X5 also steams carpets and has a detachable feature, allowing it to steam windows (and mirrors and shower doors) and a garment steamer. Here's the one I got: it's shiny red.
Assembly for this product took a few minutes to say the least. A long instruction guide and lots of safety warnings, of course. Once that was done, I was off to test out the kitchen.
The H20 X5 is easy to use and easy to handle. You fill the centre compartment with water and close the knob, plug in the device and within seconds you have steam. The fabric on the bottom is also easy to attach with velcro, easy to remove and machine washable.
I like the angled head on the unit, which allows you to get into small crevices and corners:
By the time I was done the floors (and my hubby had recently vacuumed), the cloth at the bottom was covered in dirt. Best of all, the floors felt clean and not sticky at all, because no soap or chemicals were used to clean.
I would definitely use this product again and recommend it to others - it's lightweight, easy to use, stands upright and works. I'm excited to try it all around our house, ridding bacteria as I go! And hey, if it makes this non-cleaner clean, I guess that's a success in itself, too!
Happy Steaming!
