My name is Julia Suppa and I'm a shoe-a-holic.
There, I said it. I love me some fine footwear. Heels, flats, platforms, flip flops - I wear them all. Admittedly, I have scaled down my shoe purchases since I got married and had a child, but I do go through waves when it comes to buying shoes. That being said, I've also become a smarter shoe shopper; I like to balance out my impractical shoes with more comfortable ones to save my tootsies.
A few years ago, I was introduced to NAOT footwear. NAOT has been around for decades - the shoes are made in Israel and were first sold in Canada in the late 1980s. What makes them unique? Cork. NAOT uses the "footprint in the sand" concept, where cork is designed to support the foot the same way your foot contours sand when you leave a footprint on the beach.. Because cork is a natural product, it allows the feet to breathe, acts as a shock absorber and cushions each step you take. In many of the shoe styles, the NAOT signature footbed can be removed for cleaning or replacement if needed.
While NAOT is certainly a comfort brand (they are in the Top Ten list of comfort brands in the world), over the past few years, they have been expanding their styles to add fashionable elements without compromising comfort. Here's a look at the classic sandals -- the Tahoe & the Sahara -- in various colours.
I love the Hawaii. Similar in style, but with some bling!
The brand recently even launched a kids' collection. As soon as Isabelle is old enough and has bigger feet, she'll be getting her first pair of NAOTs.

My first and second pair of NAOTs were a Tahoe style. I wore my first pair all through Europe and fell in love. (Hence the reason why I bought a second pair.) The footbed is so incredibly soft and the leather doesn't rub or blister your foot. I have a wide foot, and sometimes it's difficult to find comfortable shoes. The buckle on the Tahoe certainly helps adjust the width over the top of your foot. This year, for summer 3, I needed/wanted another pair.
The Tasha is a similar shoe, with a bit of a wedge and equally as comfortable. Let me just say that since I purchased these shoes a few weeks back, I haven't taken them off. I wear them to work, around the house, out and about. To me, they are much more comfortable than running shoes, especially with the heat and humidity we experience every summer. I also love the metallic white colour - they go with nearly every outfit I own.

And new this year, the Prestige. This gladiator-style wedge sandal is super fashionable, and comfortable to boot! Each step is cushioned - you feel like you're walking on a cloud. (PS - I bought these ones too!)
NAOT has a handful of locations in Toronto and the GTA. I usually shop at the Centre Street location in Thornhill. The manager there, Erem, is so very kind and will be patient with you (me!) as you try on multiple pairs of shoes.
At my last visit, customers continually filled the store, each one purchasing at least one pair. Everyone had the same opinion: once you try them, you're hooked.
Would you like to give them a try? You're in luck! We're hosting a giveaway and you can win a FREE pair of NAOT shoes!! How incredible is that? Enter below and good luck!
