I grew up playing a lot of family games: board games, cards, even family versions of eye-spy while driving. We frequently had game nights growing up -- there was no TV allowed and we had snacks and played our favourites.
Isabelle's not quite at the board game stage just yet, but we will introduce them in a couple of years for sure. But one game that caught my eye -- and Donny's interest -- was Mole Bop.
Who doesn't love Whack-a-Mole at the fair or exhibition? Mole Bop is a light-up playmat version of the same game. Mole Bop comes with a mallet and a round mat featuring moles that light up. Your objective is to hit the lit-up mole with the mallet. It's challenging, too -- those pesky moles are fast!
The game keeps score for you and has loud tunes to build anticipation. Isabelle had fun stepping on the moles (although I don't think you're supposed to do that!)
A great feature? Mole Bop folds up and goes right back into the box for easy storage. It doesn't take up a lot of space, is easy to use, and is fun for a variety of age levels. I can totally see a bunch of kids (or adults) playing Mole Bop on a game night, birthday party or get-together.
Mole Bop is available at Mastermind Toys for $29.99.
Happy Bopping!
