Halloween has come and gone for another year; cue the Christmas carols!
No really, I'm a Christmas nut. I love the hoopla, the shopping, the decor, the traditions. I generally have a rule of a December 1st start-date on yuletide cheer, but I do appreciate wanting to start holiday shopping sooner, rather than later.
And so, over the next 7 weeks or so (who's counting?), I'll be here to share some great gift ideas that I think are, well, Simply Suppa. :)
First one on my list: Big Hugs Elmo.
It comes as no surprise that this is on my top gift list. I am a Brand Ambassador for the product, but really, it is super cool, especially if your kid is an Elmo-lover like mine.
Big Hugs Elmo is a recent PTPA Winner, so if you don't want to take my word on it, trust the other moms and dads who have tested him out and given their stamp of approval. (But really, trust me)
Big Hugs Elmo sings, he talks, asks for big hugs of course, snores and is a lot of fun to play with. Isabelle has a blast with Elmo; she loves dancing with him and holding him upside down (Elmo shouts "Elmo's upside down!"), and taking naps with him.
In the last month or so, she has mastered saying Elmo which makes playing with him all the more fun for us! Here's a disclaimer for parents: the songs are so catchy they may just stick in your head ALL night. Just sayin'.
Elmo is pretty tall (almost the length of my LO) and he has floppy, soft legs and mechanical arms. His belly is where most of the magic happens, a quick tap and he comes alive. There is also a special place on his left foot that makes him talk. He's a bit top heavy, so he doesn't sit well on his own, but can be propped up very simply. He likes to sit in Isabelle's little chair or against the couch.
He's also easy to hold, wrap your arms around and cuddle with; Elmo is full of giggles and a bit of a wise guy, too!
How would you like to WIN a Big Hugs Elmo?
PTPA is hosting a SPOT THE SEAL CONTEST that gives you many chances to win Elmo and lots of other Hasbro hot toys! If you see the PTPA seal (as seen above) in stores and online, snap a photo with your smart phone and share on social media using the hashtag #spottheseal. It's as simple as that!
There are tons of prizes to be won!
AND…in the spirit of gift-giving and as hinted on my Facebook page…Simply Suppa has another Big Hugs Elmo to give away!
Fill out the Rafflecopter below and good luck! The winner will be notified by November 25 -- plenty of time before the holidays :) Happy Shopping everyone!

On my list this year is a few things for friends and family, but my BIG plan is to take a childs' name off the wish tree this year. It would bring me greater joy to provide a gift for a child whom might otherwise have nothing than to wish for something for myself (Sabrina Tong)
