Another tie. A watch. A #1 Dad Mug. Cologne.
Dads aren't ordinary or boring. At least mine isn't, and my daughter's daddy (aka hubby) isn't either.
So when it comes to Father's Day, why the cheesy gifts? My dad is a pretty straight-forward guy; his idea of a perfect Father's Day is a burger at Harvey's with his family. Simple, consistent, time with family. It's classic. My hubby is a little bit more difficult to buy for, but always appreciates a practical tool or even a nice meal.
Contrary to Mother's Day, Father's Day just doesn't receive the same hype. Moms get spoiled and pampered (not that I'm complaining, of course!), but dads kind of get ripped off. Isabelle and I are very lucky to each have a dad that is not only hands on, but also cooks, cleans and takes great care of us.
I think it's time they got a little spoiled too!
In honour of Father's Day, Sanctuary International Day Spas is holding a special Dad Promotion to pamper dad with two services dad is sure to enjoy. (It may take them a bit of convincing but believe me, once they go, they will love it!)
Donny is no stranger to the spa; he enjoys regular massages throughout the year. But pedicure? Facial? That's a whole other ball game. After YEARS of coercing, he finally agreed to have a pedicure done before our winter vacation. The verdict? He loved it. Surprise, surprise.

Sports Pedicures are great for guys; they get the rough skin off, clean up the nails, and even feature a cooling peppermint cream that leaves you tingling for about an hour. Combine all that with a full-body massaging chair and you're golden! Before his first pedi, I did have to reassure hubby that no, there's no nailpolish involved, not even a clear coat! (Although his aesthetician and I tried to play a trick on him suggesting a base coat polish, he didn't budge!)
After his recent Father's Day pedi, though, Donny was a much more confident spa-goer. As for the treatment, he left a little lighter on his feet, and days later, his feet are still soft. He was also a little too proud when he was told he had feet like a baby. Yah, right! I bet they tell all the guys that :)
In all honesty, though, dads are tough on their feet and work hard all day, too. Keeping the tootsies in check is not only good for them, it's good for us!
So if you're looking for something special to get dad this Father's Day, why not treat him to something that gives him a chance to unwind, relax and get pampered? You know, the way moms like it? Start with something simple like a pedicure or couple's massage if your dad/hubby is a bit apprehensive. In no time, they'll feel right at home at Sanctuary!
Sanctuary Day Spas is offering one Simply Suppa reader the chance to win a Father's Day package -- that's one Gentleman's Facial AND one Sports Pedicure! (The facial is next on our list!) The value is $119 and to enter, you just need to complete the Rafflecopter below.
Best of luck and Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads, dads-in-law, grandads, stepdads and godfathers out there!

He deserves this prize because he is the family chef, gardener and taxi driver!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is the most awesome man on the planet. It truly takes a special man to not only be a daddy to his son but an amazing stepdaddy to my other 3 amazing kids. A true hero in my eyes!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is amazing. He has always been the one to get down on the ground and play with the kids, take one more hockey shot and read another chapter of a book no matter how tired he is. He has never set foot in a spa. This would be a real treat for him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great giveaway! Too bad my dad isn't a spa kind of guy and my hubby isn't a dad! Well, unless being a dad to three dogs counts? ;-) One lucky dad is going to be very spoiled and pampered for Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove this giveaway because every dad deserves to be pampered just like every mom does.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I know my hubby would love a spa day, and he is so deserving of one, too! My own Dad, on the other hand, is like Kelly's - not a spa guy at all. It would actually be kind of fun to test the waters with Dad and see what kind of reaction I got! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could convince my hubby to go get pampered - what a great idea! I think if men let go of the idea that spas are just for women, they would learn that they have been missing out!
ReplyDeleteMy father deserves this because it would be a great way for him to kick off his retirement and get rid of all the dirt and sweat accumulated over the years!
ReplyDeleteBeing a dad is hard work so every dad deserves to be spoiled! Plus they'd never do this kind of thing for themselves.
