I've been wanting to add more turkey to my life -- you know, aside from Thanksgiving and Christmas. I came across turkey wings in the supermarket the other day, and on the package was a photo of them, prepared with a Honey Hoisin sauce. Seemed easy enough, so I gave them a go!
What You Need:
- Split turkey wings (each package has 4 pieces, or two wings)
- 1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- I tbsp Honey
- Salt/Pepper
- 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce (optional)
- Sesame Oil (optional)
- Green onion, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. On a baking sheet, lay the wings out on a piece of parchment paper and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Pop in the oven and bake for 40 minutes, turning once.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the sauces. I rarely measure anything, but you're looking for equal parts of each. So, one tbsp of each sauce per package of wings.
- After baking for 40 minutes, coat the wings in the sauce and broil on high for 5-10 minutes. Repeat on reverse side.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onion and serve!
I tripled this recipe, but left one package naked (no sauce), one package with hoisin and honey but without sriracha and the third package fully loaded. I didn't have sesame oil, so I didn't add any!
These wings are sweet and salty, and spicy if you add the sriracha, but most of all, they're delicious!! If you're really watching your weight, the turkey wings were delicious naked, and my daughter loved them!
Enjoy! How do you add turkey to your life?
