Socks and underwear. When it comes to filling Donny's stocking, I admittedly add socks and underwear. But no ordinary socks, oh no. For the last few years, I've been sneaking all sorts of colourful and stylish footwear into my husband's sock drawer -- what can I say, I just love them. b) The Name
Cole + Parker pays homage to its namesakes -- jazz legends John Coltrane and Charlie Parker. According to their website, Coltrane and Parker were believers of creating, freedom of expression and icons for the hipster subculture.

c) The One For Many Business Model
Above all else, what makes these socks extra special is how they create business for other entrepreneurs. Cole and Parker partners with Kiva, a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. 20% of each purchase of Cole + Parker socks is loaned to support entrepreneurs in poverty. You buy a pair of socks, you help sustain a start up in another spot in the world. And so on and so on. Their tagline is Socks that Start Businesses. It's a sustainable business model that is inspiring and very cool.

The company recently inked a deal on Dragon's Den, too. Very neat. And they're Canadian. And the socks, while slightly pricey, make a great gift and statement piece. You don't NEED many pairs, but you can't have enough, either.
