Happy St. Joseph Day!

Today is the Feast of St. Joseph. It's a special day, and a recognized national holiday in Italy.

Italians are famous for feasting, and one of the traditions for La Festa di San Giuseppe is to indulge in Zeppole: a fried dough, filled with custard and topped with black cherries.
