You've got a week. One week left to get those pesky, last minute gifts. Somehow, I still have a few to buy. Don't ask me how. I only had a few to start with! And I've been writing for months about the perfect gifts, and yet, here I am. I may have to go to the mall. 

Yes, I said the MALL. And I'm not petrified, mainly. 'Cause suburban malls are where it's at, people. Community Malls are smaller, closer, less busy and most of the time, offer just as many signature stores as the flagship malls. I've been shopping at Hillcrest in Richmond Hill for decades. Long before other community malls even existed, we would have Friday night shopping nights with my mom at Hillcrest. Then, it was a tiny mall with a few stores we enjoyed. Well, in the last few years, Hillcrest has gone through a huge transformation, and honestly, if you haven't been, you wouldn't recognize it. 

And with stores like Sporting Life, H&M, Roots, a new Hudson's Bay, Okaïdi, and even a Starbucks!, you will find hundreds of great last-minute gift ideas. And if you go first thing in the morning, you're likely to beat a rush!
