If I had a dollar for every time I heard "Everything happens for a reason"....
But what if you actually believed that and trusted in the universe?
What if there was a reason why you met a particular person, a reason why you went to an event (or didn't), a reason why you have the sudden urge to do something out of the blue. What if the universe was telling you something?
I've been trusting in my universe for a while now, and because I've been mindful, I'm noticing things I didn't before. I've always been a believer in destiny, and I've had teachers and others try to talk me out of it. But I'm also a believer in being the best person you can be, being kind and respectful, giving back; and that the universe and your destiny will emerge. I realize this may be a bit far out for some people to grasp, and that's fine; just take a moment every so often and think about what you have and what it took to get there. Think about the steps and the reasons why you are in the place you're in, and be thankful.
I'm not sure I realized the kismet relationship I'd create with Rosie from Luromondo. You see, a few years ago, I came across her jewellery line and something told me to reach out. She generously gave me a few bracelets and I wrote about her new business on my blog. Pretty straightforward. A year later, she sent me two howlite bracelets out of the blue; no one really knew that my mind was confused, but Rosie somehow did, and howlite is used to bring clarity and reflection, and optimism. A year after that, I was unemployed.
Today, she is a calming, peaceful joy that I value so much in my life. I often tell her I want to bottle her up 'cause she makes me feel great. There was a reason I reached out to Rosie all those years ago, and I'm so glad I did. (If you want another goosebump feeling: a year after we met, I discovered I knew Rosie's husband, who not only went to high school with me for 3-4 years but also went to the same high school with Donny for 1!)
