The other day, Donny said, "There's a lot of yellow in your closet this year, huh?"
And I just smiled.
Yup.
I went a little yellow happy overboard this year, possibly because it's such a happy colour or perhaps reminds me of sunshine and summer days.
It's also a very trendy colour this year, so that helps.
Here are my favourite yellows of the season, on this beautiful sunny Sunday.
It all started with this very bright, highlighter yellow coat that I bought from Brando's Clothing in late winter. Isabelle's friends said I looked like Emma from the Wiggles. And I get compliments every single time I wear it.
A bit more mustard in tone, this easy, breezy yellow maxi is flowy and comfortable and has a small ruffle sleeve over the shoulder. (It's a maxi on me, but likely a midi on a taller girl)
And that purse? It's a Limited Edition Lemon Clutch from Stella and Dot! It's got a raffia trim and some bedazzled pieces too. If you'd like to order, click here. The embroidered lemon earrings are S&D too -- to buy.
I fell in love with this vintage-looking buttoned yellow skirt the other day -- also super comfortable, and can be worn casually or dressed up. It's from Reitmans.
And what about a romper? Why not? Old Navy had some great yellow pieces this year, and I like this yellow gingham linen romper, which is also available in Petites. It has adjustable spaghetti straps and is loose and light and very comfortable.
There's my roundup of yellow so far! What's your favourite way to wear yellow?
