Last year, I made a promise to myself to make more time for "me"; that meant carving out time doing what made me happy, self-care and self-love, and finding activities where I lost track of time and space. And do more of all of them.
I am proud to say I have discovered a few activities that allow me to put down my phone and zone out: painting (arts/crafts), and florals (including gardening), which is why I'm super excited to be sharing two brand new workshops being offered in Vaughan by The Social Rose. I met Rosanne many, many years ago (we actually went to elementary school together), but I was also fortunate to have Rosanne do the florals at our wedding 10 years ago.
Today, she is a master of her craft; her attention to detail is impeccable and her creations are simply stunning. Anyone would be lucky to learn from her.
And now you have the chance to -- just in time for the holidays.
The Social Rose is hosting a Holiday Wreath Workshop using fresh greenery on Friday, December 6 from 7-8:30 pm. The cost is $150 and includes all materials -- you just bring yourself and leave with a beautiful wreath to hang on your front door. A few spots remain, so now's your chance to score one!
The centrepiece workshop runs Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00pm and the cost is $125.
And who doesn't love a centrepiece this time of year?
Whether you're hosting a holiday get-together or attending one, this large and full arrangement will make an impressive tablescape. Once again, all materials are included.
You do not need to be particularly "crafty" to attend. In fact, Rosanne will teach you everything you need to know. So carve out some time in the calendar for yourself and you're guaranteed to leave with a spectacular takeaway!
To book your spot, email workshops@thesocialrose.com.
Hope to see you there!
