Hands up if you weren't particularly kind to your skin in your 20s, and possibly even 30s? I'm naturally fair-skinned, and while I've never gone to a tanning salon, I may have intentionally skipped sunscreen a bunch of times so I would get some colour. Of course, the colour I got was red -- so, epic fail there.
And in the spirit of truth posting, I may also skip the occasional proper face wash -- especially at night. I know, tsk tsk.
Over the last couple of years, I've been paying much more attention to taking care of my skin, with regular treatments, different products and consistency. As in, I'm trying to be more consistent with proper cleansing, face masks, moisturizing and sunscreen. (I'm still trying to break the make-up wipe habit!) But anything that will boost collagen production, elasticity, anti-ageing -- I'm in!
A couple of weeks ago OctoVie sent me a sample of their skincare brushes -- one for the face and one for the body. These small, silicone tools are easy to grab and simple to use. Best of all: they're not just face cleansers.
You can use OctoVie for:
- daily cleansings
- exfoliating skin (especially important if you do laser hair removal like me)
- applying make up & moisturizers
- dry brushing (on my to-do list)
- cleaning make up brushes (SO IMPORTANT and I don't do this nearly enough)
- polishing lips
- massages, pedicures and travel
I like the versatility of the OctoVie and the simplicity of it -- cleaning it is simple and it's ready to go for the next use. Good for sensitive skin, too. And if you're cleaning your make-up brushes, you won't BELIEVE the amount of old product that comes off -- I'd show you, but it's gross. And oddly satisfying.
OctoVie is available for purchase on their website or on well.ca.
