It's the start of the weirdest March Break on record.
Like many of you, I'm anxious, nervous, worried about what the next few weeks and possibly months will look like for the world, our community, my family and business. The unknown is troubling right now, and while I'm usually a supporter of taking risks and leaps of faith, I'll be taking very few risks so as to keep all those around me safe.
But, I'd like to offer a different perspective -- to keep this space positive and inspirational. We all need some positivity right now.
Years ago, I started journaling (I don't do it as often now, but *noted*), and one of the practices was to wake up each day and jot down 5 gratitudes. At the end of the day, you jot down 5 more. In the midst of these fragile times, think about gratitude and I bet there's a lot around you for which you're grateful.
The sun, the company of a pet, the ability to get fresh air, freshly *baked* (aka baked from frozen) croissants, puzzles, kids to play with, movies to watch, a roof over my head. I could go on and on.
Change your perspective; instead of thinking about what you've lost (and believe me, I've already lost income and missed gatherings and it's only been 2 days), consider how much you have. For this, we are fortunate.
What are you grateful for today?
