This time of year, many journalists, writers, bloggers, influencers, and publications put together holiday gift guides, must-have shopping lists, and holiday campaigns; while I personally wait until after November 11 to start sharing these posts and stories, I, too, spend a considerable amount of time bringing you interesting gift ideas for everyone on your list, including ways to give back at this time of year.
It goes without saying that 2020 has come with its share of challenges, and many small businesses are struggling.
Local businesses are near and dear to my heart -- in addition to being a business owner, I also started my career profiling many local businesses and restaurants in York Region.
So, I'm making a commitment to profile at least 10 local businesses this season, in addition to my typical gift guide features. I will also try and share as many businesses on my IG stories, as I can.
Here's where you come in: I need your help. Tag a local business that you think deserves a little push and I will personally reach out to them if I'd like to profile them on my blog and social feed.
My M.O.? To help highlight, support, and promote local entrepreneurs, keep our funds close to home and, in turn, help families at the end of an already difficult year. It's time to spread some love -- isn't that what the holidays are all about?!
