The holiday season is typically filled with joy and excitement, happiness and cheer. But for many in our community, the holidays can bring on feelings of sadness and loneliness. Especially this year, isolation, potential financial struggles and fear has left many, especially those who are vulnerable, in a difficult state. 

That's why I'm honoured to lend my voice and my platform to the Canadian Mental Health Association of York Region & South Simcoe. 

 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, CMHA York Region and South Simcoe has worked nimbly to ensure that people have access to support, whether that be through their telephone counselling line, the virtual clinic for youth, putting hot meals on the table, offering online programming or saving lives.

 

But despite all their efforts, CMHA York Region and South Simcoe needs our support to continue to be there for those in need.
