We just got back from our Vegas trip with our friends and we had a blast!
Because this was my first time visiting Sin City, I was a bit worried about what to pack and what to wear. I wanted to be comfortable (I knew it would be hot), but also have clothing appropriate for our dinners, show and daytime activities.
I got a lot of advice from Vegas pros, and for the most part, they were right -- anything goes in Vegas.
Here are a few things I made sure to pack for our visit:
- Comfortable sandals / shoes for daytime. I only brought sandals, which eliminated the need for socks.
- A black dress. You could wear a black dress any day or night of the week in Vegas. Add a sandal, sneaker or strappy shoe and you're ready to go.
- A day crossbody and an evening purse. Keep your hands free during the day and opt for a crossbody that can hold your wallet, phone, sunglasses, sunscreen and a few needed items like lip balm and gum. I used the same pink evening bag that doubles as a purse and cross-body for evening.
- Clothes I felt great in. I hate wearing pants, especially in the summer -- so I mainly wore dresses for day and night.
- Something a little risque or out of my comfort zone -- since this was a friends' trip sans kids, I took it upon myself to push the envelope and wear some things I normally wouldn't (crop tops and short dresses anyone!?) -- and I'm so happy I did!
Here are some of the outfits I put together. None of this is sponsored -- all purchased!:
